  25.   According to the _Contemporary Diesel Spotter's Guide_, Morrison-Knudsen
  26. rebuilt 21 BN E9A's with 645 power assemblies in 1973 and 4 E8A's in 1978 for 
  27. the Chicago-Aurora run.  I'm sure BN overhualed the original units many times 
  28. before this, but the 1973 rebuilds were MK's first contract rebuildings ever.

  30.   If memory serves, the 1973-rebuilt E9's were numbered 9900-9904 and 9910-9925, and
  31. the 1978-rebuilt E8's were 9905-9908, leaving 9909 vacant.

  33.   Speaking of the BN E's, as of last weekend, the following 16 E's were still
  34. stored elephant style south of Union Station in Chicago, near where Amtrak
  35. wyes incoming trains (don't know the technical name of the place):
