- The 28 - 70 mm zoom lens that I have for a Nikon 8008s Christmas
- gift (to myself!) needs a companion.
-
- I have a vague idea of what I would like and I haven't seen
- an ideal candidate in the mail order listings, so here is an
- opportunity for Nikon fans to do some day dreamin'
-
- - 100mm < focal length < 300mm
- - Use all or most of the 8008s features (ie AF)
- - Reasonably fast, equal or better than f/3.5
-
- Intended uses:
- - Outdoor scenery, carrying on hikes
- - Motorsports
- - Close up or macro photography of aquaria
-
- Undecided, but asking for advice:
- - Nikon or third party?
- - Tele or Zoom?
- - Tele converter plus existing or new lens?
- - Used or brand new?
- - More than one lens? ie two lens of different character, which when
- combined serve a wide range. (Have used a 135mm before and liked it).
- - Cost is an object :*) About equal to the body cost ($550) or am I
- dreaming?
-
- Thanks you for your help.
