  16. (I am new to this group, sorry if this is a faq)

  18. I have decided to join the 20th Century, that is, upgrade from a
  19. Nikon F that sits in my closet. The camera that seems to work best
  20. for my budget and needs is the Minolta 5xi.
  21.  
  22. A few questions. Do 5xi owners regret not having bought a 7xi?

  24. I am going to run with one telephoto lens (70-210) as my only lens
  25. (I don't want to carry a bunch of lens). The Tamron for the Minolta
  26. is a whole lot cheaper than the Minolta lens. But then Minolta has
  27. their zoom xi lenses, with a few features not available through the
  28. vanilla af lens. Do folks with the zoom xi use the special features
  29. of the zoom xi, and am I making a mistake going with the Tamron.
