  32. Sallie, you haven't missed any constructive advice, everyone has just
  33. been flaming the fiance. You're right, it's not helping David. His
  34. situation is tough, and since we haven't witnessed the actions of his
  35. fiance or heard every word of their discussions, it's difficult
  36. for cat-loving people to think objectively given what he wrote.

  38. I had a friend at work who had to find a new home for her cat when
  39. she got engaged to a man allergic to cats. She thought she had found
  40. a home, but only two weeks before the wedding, that fell through.
  41. Not a nice time to tell her to dump her fiance for the cat! She 
  42. asked hundreds of people at work and put up signs all over the building
  43. and luckily found a home. David has to follow his heart, and not
  44. the advice of a bunch of cat-loving zealots. I, personally, would
  45. think twice about marrying someone who I myself think is a bitch,
  46. but David is the only person who really knows how David feels.
  47. So to David -- advertise in papers, go to local businesses that have
  48. bulletin boards for their employees and put up signs, put up signs
  49. at grocery stores, etc. If you hunt long enough, you'll find someone
  50. who may be able to help you. I'm sorry I don't live near you, or
  51. I could give you better advice.
