- My cat has owned me for almost 15 years now...since I was 7 years old.
- When I started dating my now fiance, Kitty didn't care too much until
- Greg (my fiance) started spending a fair bit of time at my place. She
- has never taken to Greg, and we've been together for almost 6 years.
- Whenever Greg and I stay over at my parents place (Kitty's current
- home), she will deliberately climb in bed between us and purr like
- a madwoman until Greg gets up so she can have me to herself. Of course,
- when she does this at 3am, she gets a close-up view of the exit to our
- room :-), but if it's in the morning, Greg will get up, Kitty ceases
- purring and then koncks out on my chest.
-
- Whenever I go to visit my parents now, she immediately sits on me
- as soon as my butt hits a chair, but she has decided that Greg is
- okay to sleep on if I'm not around.
-
- The bottom line is, just give Woody time to adjust. It may take
- one heck of a long time....Kitty still hasn't decided whether or not
- she likes Greg -- especially since her first bath (yes, at 14 &1/2 years
- old she had her first bath for a flea problem) was given to her
- by that 'mean' Greg person. :-) She is slowly adjusting....
- I'm sure Woody will too, after a while. Just have faith, and make
- time for Woody...give him some extra love....and most of all, just
- be patient.
-
- Good luck! Sorry this was so long-winded... :-)
-
- Erica!!!!!!!!!!
-
- ...happily owned by Kitty for the last 14 years and counting... :-)
