  13. There are about 16 nudist clubs between Auckland and Christchurch and 2
  14. resorts. As well as that there are literally dozens of beaches that are either
  15. used by naturists/nudists or can be without any fuss. The fastest way to find
  16. out about beaches is to stop in at the local club when you arrive in nz and ask
  17. the locals. Auckland has about ten beaches handy to the city that are CO.

  19. Also in Auckland there are four nudist clubs. The largest one (with a good
  20. attitude to visitors and single men) is the Auckland Outdoor Health Club, which
  21. can be contacted at P.O. Box 2702 Auckland. The shop there sells guides to nz
  22. nudist clubs and (with members c.300) there are plenty of people to give you
  23. the low down. I haven't yet visited the Canterbury Sun Club in Christchurch,
  24. but people down there are usually very obliging. Their address is P.O. Box 1823
  25. Christchurch.

  27. Of the two resorts, Riverlands Hideaway Resort is about 55 km from Napier on
  28. the east coast of the North Island. It has only recently been established, but
  29. it offers nude horseriding and nude whitewater rafting, as well as other rural
  30. type activities. Their address is R.D.2 Napier or phone (64-6)834-9756. Mapua
  31. Leisure Park is the other resort, not far out of Nelson at the top of the South
  32. Island. Mapua is a long established CO motel/camping ground with its own beach
  33. and the usual array of nudist activities. The address is Toru Street, Mapua,
  34. Nelson or phone (64-3)540-2666.

  36. Rotota Sun Club in the central North Island is located in a geothermal area,
  37. and is the only nudist club (I think) in nz with its own nature hot springs for
  38. bathing in. It is also alongside a lake and very near a (locally) famous
  39. thermal park which featured in the video "Naked Down Under".

  41. Except for the resorts (who assume that you will be staying) typically nz clubs
  42. do not have a day visitor's fee: i.e. visitors (especially ones with INF cards)
  43. are welcome free of charge. For people with INF cards there is a token camping
  44. fee. Most clubs have powered camping sites for people who have
  45. campervans.Universally facilities are clean, if sometimes a little rustic.
