  14. Well, some of us were concerned that we'd have a hard time organizing in 
  15. the dead of winter.  Based on what we've accomplished over the phone in
  16. the last couple of days, we're starting to feel cautiously optomistic. 
  17. We don't know what our opposition is doing, but here's what we've done so far.

  19.   o  A group of about 100 of us are getting together this Saturday (at our
  20.      local "swims") to kick-off a letter writing campaign and organizational 
  21.      meetings. 
  22.  
  23.   o  The politically active among us are gathering info from their contacts
  24.      in government.
  25.      
  26.   o  The local alternative radio and newspapers have been contacted (KBOO & 
  27.      Willamette Week) and are interested in reporting on the situation. 
  28.      
  29.   o  Local and national nudist organizations have been, or will be contacted 
  30.      for advice, representation and support.  
  31.  
  32.      Local groups include:   The Willamettans, The Sun Rovers, Hidden Springs
  33.                  Restful Haven, and Squaw Mountain Ranch.

  35.      National groups:        The ASA (by way of NSA trustee, Wayne Roberts).
  36.                              The Naturist Society (by way of email, and 
  37.                  hopefully these postings).

  39.   o  We've contacted the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Dept to let them know that
  40.      we expect to be involved in any decisions that may impact nude use of
  41.      Sauvie's beaches.  They told us that they are legally obligated to involve 
  42.      anyone who requests involvement and to keep them updated as to the 
  43.      situation.  Several of us contacted the OFW and more or less got the same 
  44.      story from a variety of contacts there.
