  20. To my experience, there's a difference in the Skyline drive part worth 
  21. noting.  Skyline drive seems to be much more isolated from signs of 
  22. civilization, there is a mile or two of intentionally undeveloped parkland
  23. on each side of the Skyline Drive.  The Blue Ridge Parkway does also run right
  24. along the crest of the ridges, but it doesn't have the wilderness on both
  25. sides of it.  There are parts of the Blue Ridge where farm fields back right
  26. up to the Parkway on both sides.  One consequence, is I usually see *MANY*
  27. more deer on the Skyline Drive part.  Depends on what you are looking for,
  28. both parts are real neat and worth riding!

  30. Another note, there are a couple of wilderness lodges on the Skyline Drive,
  31. that take reservations.  They are also open a few weekends in the winter,
  32. which is really different - I've stayed at them in the winter, and I
  33. recommend it if you are looking for a neat get-a-way!
