-
- : I did it recently, to take a ski back home from the repair shop.
-
- : The strap-to-the-side approach wouldn't have worked, because I have
- : a Beemer R-bike, and there are carbs sticking out; strapping it lengthwise
- : on the saddle is no good either, because of the fuel tank being both
- : higher and wider than the seat.
-
- : I ended up bungeeing the ski diagonally across the seat, and sitting on it;
- : the right knee prevented it slipping sideways.
- : It protruded a bit to the left and the rear of the bike, but not too badly.
-
- : Not very comfortable, especially when braking, but doable.
-
- : And yes, by the looks I was getting, you'd think I was towing llamas
- : on rollerblades behind me or something.

- Just lay the ski sideways and put little warning flags on the ends. It works
- for me. I get a little trouble when "white-lining" (lane-splitting) but you
- just have to remember to aim for the larger gaps.
-
- You could always get a Hardly and strap them to the running-boards...
