-
- The Aqua gloves that I use consist of, amongst other things, specially
- treated leather, a layer of waterproof stuff, a layer of Thinsulate and a
- strong lining. They lasted me for about 40,000 miles of riding over 3 years
- but I managed to hole them in the thumb after wearing them when using a heavy
- chainsaw for about nine months (as well as using them for biking). The
- replacements I bought at the Birmingham NEC Bike Show in December (ask David
- Jevans, he was with me) are a lot fancier (the originals were black with black
- on black), reach further up the arms and use a lot of Kevlar. One of the
- small sew-on fancy labels has started to come off which is slightly worrying.
-
- The treated leather means that they can be left on radiators, etc to dry
- and the leather doesn't go white and spoil. The Thinsulate keeps your hands
- very warm, I used mine when biking at -13'C which is warm for some of you, I
- know but cold for me.
-
- If you want to know anymore, I will get the name and number of the people
- who I am sure will send you a catalogue and sell you some gloves, etc,
- wherever you live.
-
- I am going to purchase a pair of their Aqua-Boots and leather jeans so I will
- let you know how they are. I have to wait until I get paid first, though.
