- I rode a Nighthawk 750 a while back and was quite pleased. The bike
- was smooth, very tall geared (overdrive), and quite comfortable in
- ergonomics and ride. With shaft drive and hydraulic valves I think it
- would make an excellent sport tourer. As for handling, I was noticably
- faster on it through tight twisties than on a VFR1000 which was also along
- for the ride. Only at very high speeds and lean angles did the shaft
- make me nervous and I suspect that's because I'm not used to it. The
- motor makes good bottom end power and has a nice spike in it at around
- 3/4's to redline. The guides initially wear quickly causing some minor
- smoking but then seem to wear quite well. All in all one of the nicer
- bikes I've ridden and definitely underrated.
