  20. here's some info.  "high output voltage regulator" is a misnomer.
  21. the regulator just changes the RPM at which maximum charging occurs.
  22. on the "old" boxers, that would be at about 4k RPM.  with the new
  23. regulator, it's just below 2k RPM.

  25. you will benefit from the change if you consistently ride
  26. below 4k RPM.  if you don't, save your money.  or just buy
  27. a battery charger and plug it in every so often.
