-
- This logic is flawed in several ways.
-
- 1) Simply because nobody has reported that they have been accused
- of fraud, does not mean it has not happened.
-
- 2) It probably is quite rare for an insurance company representative
- to accuse anyone of fraud outside of the context of legal
- proceedings. They are not stupid, and I am certain that they
- understand the meaning of libel, as well as the value of not
- letting on that they recognize fraudulent claims prior to those
- proceedings.
-
- 3) I think that most readers would be reluctant to report their own
- attempts to submit fraudulent claims.
-
- Do you intend to say that no fraud is ever committed on the part of the
- insurance industry's customer base when submitting claims?
