  14. what i'm looking for:
  15.   - mid-sized four (?) 550-750 (i'm not a big person)
  16.   - reliable for commuting and sport-touring
  17.   
  18. bikes that have caught my eye:
  19.   - '84 Nighthawk S 700 - $1700 (for sale at a dealer)
  20.   - '84(i think) V30 Magna - $2000 (also at a dealer)
  21.   - '83 Nighthawk 650 - $900 (for sale by owner)
  22.  
  23. all of the bikes are in compirable condition, low rust, milage 10K + or - 2K.
  24.  
  25. questions: (proportional to cost)
  26.   - is the magna that much nicer (consider + or smoothness and - maintenance)?
  27.   - is the sportier riding position of the Nighthawk S any less comfortable on
  28. long rides?
  29.   - are there other nice bikes that fall into the same category as
  30. these bikes that i should be looking out for?
  31.   - is there life after the DoD?
