  22. (legal minimum in BC)

  30. In British Columbia we have a public insurance company (ICBC) that
  31. handles all insurance premiums. One of the specialty programs that ICBC
  32. offers is "Collector's Insurance." This insurance is available for old
  33. motor vehicles (cars & bikes) which are for pleasure use only (no riding
  34. to work or school). The idea is that people who own collectible vehicles
  35. are unlikely to do something dangerous which would cause damage to their
  36. vehicle, especially since you aren't allowed to use it to go to work. As
  37. well, the $135 rate is _only liability insurance_. I don't know what the
  38. price would be for "own fault" coverage (damage you do to your own bike)
  39. or whether it would be in line with regular insurance prices. Many
  40. private insurance companies elsewhere may offer deals on the insurance
  41. for older vehicles, especially if you have another vehicle registered
  42. with them.
