  32. I bought my saddlebags at the local army surplus store. cost CDN$40 for
  33. the pair. The bags are East German military surplus backpacks, and with
  34. a minimum of modifications to the backpack webbing of one, I had a
  35. perfect set. These bags have a vinyl linining that extends well beyond
  36. the top of the bag for maximum waterproofing. These bags are so
  37. waterproof that I have thrown ice and canned drinks _into_ them with no
  38. leakage. The bags' only disadvantage are their smallish size.
