  12. I've had a 1983 Yamaha Virago 500 since August. It had less than
  13. 100 miles on it when I bought it. (Yes, I'm sure, and no I wasn't
  14. born yesterday.) I put 1000 miles on it, and I love it.

  16. I can't judge from just 1000 miles, but others have told me the
  17. bike has a reputation for being very reliable. The only thing I
  18. had to do to get the bike running, after it layed around in
  19. neglect for 7 years, was to install a new battery and a new
  20. starter relay. I've heard the starter relay is one of the few
  21. common problems with the bike.

  23. I don't think that 22,000 miles is a lot for a Virago, unless
  24. it's been abused and not maintained. I'm sure you'll be enjoying
  25. it for quite a while.
