- Sure it can. All you have to do is come up with the parts. EG: All you
- have to do is have the $$$$. Try wrecking yards, etc. Plan on changing
- the hand brake master cylinder also.

- Should also be do-able. Watch out for things like the hand brake master
- cylinder not having enough volume to actuate both front brakes. I friend
- of mine who has an artificial right arm rides a good bit. His latest bike
- is a BMW K-100 LT; he has both front and rear brakes actuating off the
- foot pedal. He had to machine up a new master cylinder body with a larger
- diameter piston to get it to work really right. The problem you speak of
- will be similar. When he first hooked it up, the bike stopped well, but
- under hard braking the master cylinder bottomed out ... by making one
- with a larger piston, it is back to a foot pressure level about like the
- original pedal, but applies both front (dual disks) and the rear brake.
- Combined with the ABS on this bike, it works real well.
-
- As a note, if any of you rec.moto readers know someone who needs this, my
- friend built a left side hand control that combines the throttle, clutch,
- choke, throttle lock lever, and all the electrical controls that used to
- be on both sides. He designed it with Autocad, and being a machinist by
- trade, then proceeded to chop it out of a block of aluminum. It looks like
- it came from the factory. He could probably make another one from this
- design if somebody was in need.
