  25.     At Steve Crevier's first race meeting, he made an immediate impression.
  26. The Westwood announcer had taken to calling him "Shrimp" by the end of the day.
  27. At the next meeting, the announcer had forgotten what little French he thought
  28. he knew previously, but lessee, it was from the ocean & started with "s"...
  29. Et voila; Steve immediately became, and remained, "The Squid Kid"!  This was
  30. about '84 or '85, before I'd ever heard of r.m, but even then I think "squid"
  31. was coming into common Hollywood North jargon.
