  12. As an often-ignored poster here, I can appreciate Jack's frustration at
  13. having few answers to his tirade. I also appreciate Jack's support for
  14. my own tirades :) As for Douglas Kirk, I admit to being disappointed
  15. with his igniter article. After all the hype about finding the best, we
  16. got a matrix of measurements with very limited value and the conclusion
  17. that all the igniters work. Tell us something we don't know! I also
  18. doubted his statistics concerning the Big Bertha in a previous article
  19. and posted to that effect.

  21. On the other hand, AMSPAM was once a lot more boring than it has been
  22. recently, and for the improvement we owe thanks in no small measure to
  23. Jack. The past history has lowered my standards a bit, and Kirk's
  24. articles don't strike me as so awful compared to some a few years back.
  25. Kirk does get a lot of photo coverage. I'm sick of looking at him and
  26. his wife, but the kid is kinda cute...
  27.  
  28. He does seem to have taken over the last issue though. That's disturbing
  29. to say the least.
