  31. But there were some much more recent incidents (late 80's).  Basically
  32. they involved heat related damage.  Making people stand at attention
  33. for hours in the sun on the tarmac, I think.  Several passesd out from
  34. heat stroke/dehydration.

  36. Another case I recall was similar.  The instructor made some students
  37. do pushups on the tarmac and got third degree burns on their hands.  I
  38. believe this one led to some serious chanes of teaching policy.
