- I can remember a saying (can't remember who said it though, anybody remember)
- which essentially said that a coward who takes up a martial art becomes a
- coward who knows some techniques. Ie the coward will not be able to do the
- techniques due to fear, etc.
-
- I personally beleive that I should avoid fights at all costs.....
- BUT if there is no other alternative, I will make sure that the person
- I am fighting will be on the floor as quickly as possible. I think that this
- is true even for high grades, no matter how good they are. Saying that, if
- someone attacked (note I say attacked, as in hit) a friend of mine, or someone
- in the same group, then I would try to intervene (as in charm the people down,
- break the fight up). Only if *I* am attacked will I use my martial art to
- defend myself, some thing which I wish will never happen.
