- I have been lurking on this conversation for quite a while, and valid points have been
- made about this hand. I would overcall 1nt (1s if my spades were AQT4), but do not
- object to either call. I would ALWAYS call 3d with the weak hand. You are just going
- to be robbed blind in competitive auctions if you do not respond in a 6 card suit with
- minimal values. I think the auction got out of control after the 3d call, but the
- failure to bid 3d would show a genuine lack of partnership trust.
