- Hmmm ......... ???? Who said ferts are only destructive, and don't carry
- any constructive meaning? No point count? Of course a fert has a point
- count, often 0-7 points. No distribution? People who play ferts often
- play very weak pre-emptive bids, so the fert pretty much denies a 7-card
- suit, and perhaps denies a 6-card suit (or even a 5-card suit with an honor)
- as well. This is certainly a lot more constructive than the bid "pass"
- in standard systems ...
