  12. Here in the Bay Area, we have an elderly gent who
  13. is blind and plays duplicate regularly.  He brings
  14. is own braille (sp?) cards and the club uses them
  15. (minor complaints because the braille cards aren't
  16. as nice as the club's cards and they don't fit well
  17. into the boards).

  19. All played cards are called out for Fred by his
  20. partner  (if Fred is the declarer) and/or by the
  21. person playing the card.  Sometimes/usually, Fred will
  22. need a review of what cards remain in dummy.  Fred is
  23. usually cognizent that he may be delaying the game and
  24. he tends not to spend a lot of times on decisions.

  26. I do admire him for his intellect and memory- I don't
  27. think I could do that and I hope I never have to; keeping
  28. tracl of cards is hard enough with my eyes fully functional.
