- You read correctly...
-
- I was in our favorite city this past weekend, the first time for my wife. She *had* to
- go see Excalibur, so I brought her just for a quick peek.
-
- The first thing I noticed was the previously mentioned uniform change for the dealers. They
- do look much better, and I for one, don't feel sorry for the dealers anymore having to wear
- Clown outfits.
-
- While she was looking around, I sat at a BJ Shoe table, and won the ten remaining hands left
- in the shoe. The first hand of the new shoe I lost, and I was gone after tipping the dealer
- graciously.
-
- After cashing in, I found my wife, and we started heading for the door when we went by a
- Roulette table. I said to her, "Never ever play roulette, but if you must, there is only
- one number to play --- Black Thirteen." At this point, I pulled $10 of my prior winnings
- out, placed it on 13 and said Money plays, black thirteen. PRESTO!
-
- It hit, the dealer said "how'd you know that", the pit boss looked at me strange and I said,
- "Tradition - it is the only number to play".

- NOTICE TO CRAPS PLAYERS! (This belongs in the FAQ)
-
- I was awakened to a harsh reality this past weekend when my rating was cut by 2/3rds.
-
- Prior to this trip, I was only rated at Caesars. I ASSumed, and oh was and ASSumption
- it was, that I would be better off, comp wise, at the Golden Nugget, who would not expect
- as much.
-
- When it comes to your overall rating, Golden Nugget does not count your odds bet at all!
- "The casino does not make anything off the odds bet, so why should we count it?"
-
- Moral to the story: Know how the casino figures ratings. From what I gather, each casino
- may or may not count the odds. This subject deserves its own thread - see article with
- subject line "Craps Odds & Casino Ratings".
