  14. I vote for Practical Horseman & The Chronicle of the Horse.  Sonja has
  15. already posted excellent descriptions of both.

  17.  However, I DO enjoy the Chronicle especially since I compete fairly
  18. regularly and they have placings for most major shows and a lot of
  19. smaller shows.  It is a wonderful way to keep up with my competition.  I
  20. also enjoy reading about the other disciplines covered in the Chronicle.
  21. But Cooky McClung *IS THE BEST*.  She writes wonderfully witty articles
  22. about being a mom, horsewoman, daughter, horsewoman, wife, horsewoman, etc.
