  27. Practical Horseman (useful information/English) 
  28. Horse & Rider (useful information/Western and general)
  29. Equus (this is about as technical/scientific as I get)
  30. Western Horseman (this is the one I grew up on)
  31. Chronicle of the Horse (for Thoroughbred information)
  32. Midwest Sport Horse (this is mostly advertisements, stories on one side of the
  33.     page about a horse whose stud fee is on the other side of the page)
  34. Appaloosa Journal (for Appaloosa information)
  35. Appaloosa Sport Horse (I think the name has changed to just Sport Horse
  36.     and they're now covering other breeds, but I haven't seen an issue for
  37.     a couple years)
  38. The Corral (newspaper format, local (mostly Ohio) information,
  39.    on everything from endurance/competitive trail, dressage, CT, gymkhana,
  40.    hunters/jumpers, barrel racing, rodeo, state breed-specific clubs,
  41.    ==when and where the shows
  42.    are, who the trainers are, local judges, horses/trucks/trailers/ 
  43.    etc. for sale==
  44.    you name it, if it's got something to do with horses and it's within
  45.    a few states of Ohio, it's in the Corral.

  47. I usually subscribe to two or three magazines a year, and switch around
  48. a bit.  I'm currently getting Horse & Rider, Equus, Appaloosa Journal,
  49. and the Corral and Midwest Sport Horse.
