- i'm glad everyone's ok!! i had a liability last year for damage to a car
- inflicted by one of my horses.
- the story: my young horse, jaseroque, was being ponied by a friend and
- got loose. he ran back to his stall, but a car was parked in his way. so
- he jumped over it!! unfortunately the antenna of the car stabbed jas in his
- left stifle requiring stitches. but he also kicked out the rear windshield
- of the car (a mercedes no less) as well as denting a fender on the take-off.
- so i had to pay to repair for the damage to the car. there is a general
- liability clause in our homeowners insurance, so we were covered, even tho my
- horses are boarded. in the meantime we have gotten ourselves a $1million
- liability umbrella insurance policy to cover us for such future incidences
- (which will hopefully never occur). jas has fully recovered from his injury
- - no scar at all - and he is completely sound after recooperating for a couple
- of months. now to find someone who can teach him to jump properly :-) !!
