- My wife and I have two "Rahlide" (or however it's spelled) tree saddles,
- and used to have a third. We never had any problem with them. They
- are light-weight and seem nearly indestructable : my wife's horse
- once went over backward and landed right on the saddle, and neither
- horse nor saddle suffered more than some light surface damage.
-
- My current saddle is one of those Cordura-covered things. I haven't
- had it long, but it's a very nice so far : lighter than even my
- previous Rawlide leather saddle, and a good fit to me and the horse.
-
- Your furlong-age may vary. My wife and I pleasure ride : no shows, no
- endurance riding, no roping, no barrel-racing, no high jumping.
- This doesn't stress our horses or saddles much.
