  13. A couple of days ago, my littlest horse, Quaker, discovered a new toy
  14. that she enjoyed immensely.  Our resident fix-it-man, Steve was busy
  15. installing an electric fence which now divides the big field in half
  16. so that the grass at the far end could get a chance to grow without
  17. the horses on it (i hate keeping the horses in & my stallcleaners
  18. appreciate it).

  20. Quaker discovered that the uncharged wire, when pulled, made a 
  21. wonderful twangy sound.  To add onto the excitment, the wire *moved*!
  22. Great fun!  Even more fun when the human (Steve) is trying to shoo her away
  23. from it....all Quaker has to do is to run to the other end and escape!
  24.  
  25. He tried to keep her away...not much use though.  Finally it came time
  26. to attach the charger.  Steve hooked everything up and then made one
  27. last futile effort to chase Quaker away.  No doing. She ran to the other end
  28. of the fenceline, away from Steve, and reached out with her lips to play
  29. again.  Poor little horse almost sat down she was so surprized! (but
  30. then "shocked" would be a better word).

  32. That toy unavailable...Quaker then turns her attention to Steve's truck
  33. (which was in the field to carry out the supplies, fenceposts, etc).
  34. In the back was a long orange something-or-the-other (I don't know
  35. the name, but it's used to secure a load on a truck...to tie it down).
  36. It proved to be too much...Steve had to chase after Quaker, who was
  37. running about with the orange tiecord out of her mouth and the 
  38. dangerous length being several feet trailing out behind her.  If Steve
  39. didn't walk up to her, then she would do laps around him and the truck,
  40. teasing (?) him to go after her.

  42. Maybe I ought to invest in a Hippity-Hop toy for her to play with out
  43. in the field.
