  11. Ok heres mine:  Hello my name is Cece Osborn. I am 32 and live in Las
  12. Cruces, NM and work for the Physical Science Lab at NMSU.  I receive
  13. this newsgroup through usenet.

  15. I have been riding over 20 years and a horse owner for 14.  I have had
  16. lots of horses, good, bad, big, small registered and grade. I have 
  17. saddled the best and attempted to ride the rest, so to speak. High point
  18. of my horse involvement was High Point Yearling Halter Mare in 1989. I
  19. have shown on and off for 10 years.

  21. I ride mostly western and am interested mainly in reining and cutting. I
  22. have taken two semesters of english eq on campus here with a great instructor
  23. Chris Halacker, but do not think that I will pursue english much.

  25. I fractured my pelvis in a bucking match, that I lost, with a spoiled mare
  26. 3 1/2 years ago and it left me pretty fearful.  It is amazing what a fear of
  27. not "walking away" the next time and do to you.

  29. Presently I have 2 horses. One is Bearly Designed, a yearling red roan overo
  30. gelding APHA registered. He is 95% white with blue eyes. He placed 5th at
  31. the NM Breeders Futurity last fall.  This year I am going to attempt the
  32. local halter shows and at least one breed halter class with him.  (He 
  33. doesn't know this yet).  I bred his mom and have owned him since birth.
  34. My other horse is a quarter horse that wanted to be a paint. He is a 9yr old
  35. 15 hand chestnut with high white stockings and a big blaze. He is a APHA
  36. registered gelding named Mr. Incognito Q (Mickey). He is a pretty lazy boy
  37. with only 3 consistent months of riding in his life. He had never loped with
  38. a rider until he was 6 years old. He was mostly used for the occasional 
  39. trail ride and suffers from a bad case of kiditis, doing what he wants when
  40. he wants, (a kid had him). My friends tell me that he would make a nice 
  41. hunter, but for now we have enough problems just getting our cues right
  42. without trying for a specific event. I would like to show him in western
  43. events, but maybe we will try showmanship at halter first.

  45. Most days I wish I did not have the horses, especially when its rainy or
  46. I am feeling poor. But I guess that is how it goes, at this point in time.

  48. I am married to a non horse husband who does not support my habit. He has
  49. 2 cats and a motorcycle. I have 2 Austrailian Shepherds, Ian blue merle
  50. 5 yrs, and Brie red merle 4 years.  Ian is my riding buddy and chief "turn
  51. out" the horses dog.  I board my horses.  I did the usual kid horse 
  52. activities that others have mentioned Breyers, books and riding lessons,
  53. (Western).

  55. This is a fantastic idea and a great way to find out about our posters.
  56. I post some, but read everything.  The group has given me alot of new
  57. ideas and new methods to work out problems.  Its great!!
