- another bio ...
-
- i am gale snow. i've been following this newsgroup for at least 6 years now,
- mostly lurking (i do scan all the articles), and occasionally posting if i
- have something to contribute. i own 2 horses. my first horse, c'est jolie,
- i've had for 12 years now. she's a registered thoroughbred and i bought her
- when she was 4. my interest is dressage. i showed her training, first, and
- second level at recognized shows here in california (i live in the san
- francisco bay area). we did quite well actually - even tho we learned
- everything together (not the recommended thing to do). we qualified for
- the annual cds championship show at both first and second level. this
- required 4 scores above 64% at first level and 62% at second level from
- 4 different judges in recognized competition. i then bred her to laylock,
- a swedish warmblood stallion. she had a beautiful colt on easter day in
- 1988. i was present for his birth so he is very special to me. jaseroque
- is 5 years old this year. the sad part of my story is that just after jas'
- birth i was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (i was 32 years old). i still
- have both horses and even "ride" at times when i'm feeling strong. but
- mostly i require lots of help with jolie and jas. a friend is riding jolie
- and learning lots from her. i have a trainer working jas regularly. i still
- get alot of enjoyment from my horses, jolie and jas. maybe someday soon
- there will be a cure for ms!
