  15. I needed the diversity from work (too long);
  16. My children needed responsibility (Ha);
  17. My wife loves foals;
  18. I wanted to plan for retirement;
  19. I liked to own a RANCH;

  21. MY responsibilities are:
  22.     feeding, cleaning, repair and trim;
  23.     to pay, and to remember, I started this when;
  24. Now I have 8:
  25.     1 stallion, his dam, and 1/2 sister;
  26.     2 Radaar (Radio) mares and a 22 y.o. Raffles filly;
  27.     1 7 month old filly who thinks she is human;
  28.     and THE GELDING;
  29.  
  30. My daughter is done with her schooling and living at home,
  31.     because dad keeps HIM,
  32.     the lessons and tack, the clothes and the shows.
  33. SHOW HACK is her dream, the trainer and HIM,
  34.     my job is to appaud, and to schedule for them.
  35.  
  36. Someday the chores will get done before dark,
  37.     so that dad can relax with a horse.
  38. but by then the son will return from his schooling away,
  39.     and dad will need HIM2;
  40.  
  41. But I walk in the barn, and they all say hello;
  42. I smile, respond,     and,   never say no;
  43.
