  13. I have no idea if this will get out, since I seem to be able to answer 
  14. messages, but I don't know if I can just post a general one like this.  
  15. Unlike most of you, I access Internet/Usenet through a BBS, which is in 
  16. the LA area, even though I live in Northern California.  I work for the 
  17. State of California.  My wife, Mary, and I have a 16 acre ranch, 
  18. Wheelgate Farms, where we stand a Cleveland Bay stallion, Wheelgate's 
  19. Lord Charles.  (We named the ranch after the horse, who's imported from 
  20. England, not vice-versa.)

  22. Mary teaches dressage and trains, I just ride and function as as the 
  23. ranch Go-Fer.  We've studied primarily with Charles deKunffy off and on 
  24. since 1974.  I've cliniced with enough other dressage instructors, some 
  25. famous and some unknown, to have concluded that one lesson with Charles 
  26. is like six from anybody else.  I suppose I shouldn't say that, because 
  27. I wouldn't want Charles to get too popular.  He's expensive enough as it 
  28. is.

  30. Mary rides our stallion and shows him at dressage, although he also 
  31. jumps very well, but we're both in our 50's and too old for that.  I 
  32. recently sold my Thoroughbred gelding and am starting a four year old 
  33. mare, by our stallion, out of our Thoroughbred mare.  I hope to start 
  34. showing Lady Sarah at Training Level in the spring.  We've got her two 
  35. younger sisters waiting in the wings and for sale.

  37. Oh yes, since Mary and I write a book/video review column for a 
  38. California horse magazine called Ride!, we have access to most of the 
  39. latest horse books
