- You did right by measuring the whole gauge swatch then calculating the
- unit gauge. You want to make sure your swatch is large enough to
- encounter all of the variation at least twice on both rows and stitches.
- You also want to wash the swatch using the directions for the yarn to
- make sure you don't have any unpleasant surprises the first time you
- garment.
