- I once ended up with an extra Campy pedal. It had french threads,
- so it went on the only bike with french threaded cranks...my wifes
- old clunker with cottered steel cranks..to replace a cheap pedal
- that outlived its usefulness. One day she came out of her office
- to discover that someone had taken that pedal...just the pedal!
- I consoled myself with the thought that anyone who stole a single
- pedal probably thought they knew quality when they saw it, and then
- used it on their gazillion dollar english threaded cranks. (French
- threads are just enough smaller/different so that the pedal seems
- to screw into english threads properly, but strips out VERY quickly.)
