  23. I've been toying with the idea of making 3-season shelter out of a Gore-Tex
  24. bivy sack (REI Cyclops?), thermarest, and then using whatever polypro clothing
  25. you normally carry for warmth.  You should be able to cut at least 4 or so 
  26. pounds off of the weight of a bag and tent combo.

  28. Or for perfectly dry conditions, an army surplus poncho liner makes for a 
  29. warm covering.
