- I had my CV joints repaired and have had some noise on a right turn ever
- since. I thought it was because my '85 Jetta has 176,000 Miles and the
- struts/shocks are badly worn and the car takes a dive on turns.
-
- I checked it out and there is a collar on the right axle shaft that
- the dealer said was a balanceer (?). I dont understand it though cause the
- right axle is the longer and thus heaver axle than the left.
-
- Any way I used a hose clamp to keep it positioned up out of the way so
- it dosent hit the lower A-arm(?). It stopped for a while but now it is
- doing it again. I probably have to move it again.
-
- Does anyone have any insight as to where the thing is to go, how to keep
- it in place, etc? And what is the purpose of it?
-
- If I dont get any answers buried in this string, I'll post it on it's own.
- (Not a threat 8-) )
