  22. no problem. my gti16v passenger's door did this, just take the lock apart
  23. by prying off the chrome or black cover plate on the handle, and removing
  24. the bolt from inside the door. it's a stupid design that invites theft by
  25. prying a screwdriver through the door and pressing down on the latch inside
  26. of the door. just take it apart and look at it... it's easy to see. anyway, by
  27. realigning everything, and adding lots of wd40 spray, it can be reassembled so
  28. that it works fine.

  30. consider it periodic maintenance.  give it a try! only takes 5 minutes.
