  12. I'm interested in a better Beetle. I want McPherson strut front end for
  13. increased boot space, disc brakes in front, 4-bolt hubs so I can get decent
  14. wheels and tires, independant rear-end and preferably a flat windscreen
  15. (I don't like the look of the curvy one - it bulges.). 1500cc or larger 
  16. engine is essential - was an 1800 available in the Beetle? How about fuel
  17. injection/electronic ignition?

  19. What model Beetle fits most or all of the above criteria?

  21. (Mine's a '66 1600 with 5-bolt hubs, drums all round and swing axle.)
