  39. Kind of on the same subject;  I need to replace my clutch in my 82 A4000
  40. diesel, and my Bentley manual seems to imply that replacement can be done
  41. without removing the engine, only the transmission.  _But_, about 80K ago
  42. when I had the current clutch put in, I was told the process involved
  43. removing the engine...

  45. Anyone done this operation and know the exact procedure??  Did my mechanic 
  46. take me for a couple extra hours of work that really wasn't done (i.e. engine
  47. removal)??
