- We repainted our '86 last year, mostly because of rust -- but I still think
- it was remarkably rust-free. We live in salt-happy Ontario, and yet the only
- spots where rust spontaneously appeared was the rear apron welds under the
- rear bumper, and a small spot under the black tape on the hatch. All others
- were dings or scrapes -- the big reason for the paint wad the extensive rust
- around the windshield, caused by the idiots who replaced the first windshield
- way back in '86. Oh, and the car had had body panels repainted three times
- already for various accidents and dings, so I figured it'd be nice to have a
- car that's all oen colour! :)

- Seat frames OK, reupholstered seat bolsters. Replaced both mufflers twice
- so far -- half of them under the muffler warranty. :)

- Ditto, at 92,000 km.
