  20. The Feb '93 issue of Consumer Reports has tire evaluations in it; you 
  21. might get some ideas there.  They don't include performance tires, but
  22. your old tires are in the tests (fared below average during non-ABS wet 
  23. braking and general handling).  The Goodyear Aquatred was the highest
  24. rated, however they only rated "touring" tires.  The GT +4 is in the 
  25. performance class, several steps up, and if you can spend the money it 
  26. probably would do well.

  28. It's always a hard guess, though, because suspension systems are designed
  29. literally from the tire up.  Pick up some of the consumer automotive
  30. and SCCA racing magazines at your local performance shop and see
  31. what the autocrossers and unmodified road racers are putting on the
  32. Probe.
