- I agree point for point with Chris except I need to correct one statement.
- The digital filter in the No.30 is not a custom part, its the NPC SM5803
- which is a slightly more optioned version of the widely used NPC SM5813.
- The 5803 adds features like digital volume control (not used by No.30),
- digital domain de-emphasis, among others to the oversampling filter core
- in the SM5813.

- With so many of the digital audio heavy weights using programmable DSPs
- and claiming its the ONLY way to go I find it very interesting the designers
- at Levenson used an off-the-shelf filter chip.
