- I recently acquired the remains of a china service for 12. The
- mark on the back of each piece reads:
-
- Fyoto China
- Japan
- Made in Occupied Japan
-
- (I'm not sure about the F in Fyoto; seems to me it should be "Kyoto",
- but it looks like an F to me, sort of!)
-
- It's a very nice blue, gold and floral pattern, and I may keep it
- for myself, but I was wondering: what, if anything, is this worth?
-
- I've tried searching out price guides, but haven't had much luck.
-
- Here's what pieces I have:
-
- 12 dinner plates
- 12 salad plates
- 12 bread/butter plates
- 12 soup bowls
- 6 fruit bowls (small)
- 4 teacups (2 with chips)
- 12 saucers
- Sugar (with lid)
- Creamer
-
- A local antique dealer offered to take them on consignment, but I'd
- like to have more info to go on before I do anything.
-
- Thanks for any help,
- Charleen
