  24. Well were all your friends women?  What I've found is that I have more fun
  25. if I hang around with a mixed gender crowd.  That way there is less pressure 
  26. pick up or be picked up.  I was a late bloomer, and never did enjoy the scene
  27. at bars until is started taking swing dance lessons.  Now I have a bunch of
  28. friends I hang with when I go to these places, and the emphasis is on having 
  29. a good time.  Couples form naturally and over a period of several weeks or 
  30. months ( not in the course of 3 hours ! ;-p )  [Though it hasn't worked for me
  31. yet ;-]

  37. I started a group a few years ago called "For the Fun of It".  It was never
  38. very organized but we have done a lot of fun things together over the last
  39. 13 or so years.  We race cars, spelunk, hold dances, have killer parties,
  40. buy fun toys (boats etc), went to the world fair once, climb mountains, play
  41. games.

  43. I think that we might be able to start something here which could work like
  44. that.  The best part about this group is that it is brand new, and so it can
  45. be anything we want it to be!
