- Well were all your friends women? What I've found is that I have more fun
- if I hang around with a mixed gender crowd. That way there is less pressure
- pick up or be picked up. I was a late bloomer, and never did enjoy the scene
- at bars until is started taking swing dance lessons. Now I have a bunch of
- friends I hang with when I go to these places, and the emphasis is on having
- a good time. Couples form naturally and over a period of several weeks or
- months ( not in the course of 3 hours ! ;-p ) [Though it hasn't worked for me
- yet ;-]

- I started a group a few years ago called "For the Fun of It". It was never
- very organized but we have done a lot of fun things together over the last
- 13 or so years. We race cars, spelunk, hold dances, have killer parties,
- buy fun toys (boats etc), went to the world fair once, climb mountains, play
- games.
-
- I think that we might be able to start something here which could work like
- that. The best part about this group is that it is brand new, and so it can
- be anything we want it to be!
-
- cheers!
