- Bogus legal stuff is common on TV. They had a lawyer character on
- Seinfeld tonight that committed acts that would allow for at least
- two or three separate grounds for disbarment, not to mention a suit
- for malpractice.

- Also, Marlee Matlin failed to remove herself from a case where she
- had a pretty blatant conflict of interest. (Of course, it's always
- much more dramatic to have to cross-examine your lover who is involved
- in committing the crime in the criminal case you're prosecuting.) The
- black woman judge didn't even put her in her place, though she did set
- up the trial in such a way that there were at least a couple of grounds for
- mistrial.
