- Upon changing one's residence to a new state, the individual is expected to
- apply for a driver's license in the new state. Each state has its own time
- limitations for so applying.

- The officer did have the "right" to ask you to identify yourself, which may
- include asking you to verify that the address on your license is in fact your
- address. In Pennsylvania the officer/trooper will match driver's license with
- insurance card with operator's card. Any discrepancy may result is a HUGH
- fine.

- Check the CA driver's handbook, it should provide one with the time limitation
- for getting a new license.
