- There are certain household chores that you can put off or skip
- entirely:
-
- 1. Shoveling snow, if this applies to your area. When I watch the
- people in my neighborhood out there shoveling snow and piling
- it in neat piles that are all the same size, and then edging
- it so it looks just like their lawn (only white), I want to open
- a window and scream "YOU IDIOT! IT'S GOING TO MELT!!" If it's
- blocking your driveway, don't go anywhere. :-)
-
- 2. Anything you'd have to do over again in less than two weeks.
-
- 3. Anything the next people who live there can take care of.
-
- 4. Cooking. Always go out - then you don't have to do dishes
- either.
-
- On a more realistic note, my son and I accidentally discovered what
- an exciting outing plain old routine shopping can be. We spent about
- an hour walking around Cub Foods comparing prices, looking and new
- and different products, and laughing at and imitating the expressions of
- the models on the packages. I'd stand near a product and imitate the
- person on the label and he guessed which label.
-
- Might sound mundane, but we sure laughed a lot.
